Filed under: Uncategorized — aageddes @ 1:53 am

Hey everyone, cast your vote for the next Star of the West! Actually, you need to go to:
www.starofthewest.tv and vote for AIMEE GEDDES from SALT LAKE CITY! The online votes count for 20% and you can vote once per day.

Saturday was the semi-final competition in Heber City. I sang “When I think about Angels” by Jamie O’Neal and “Cry” by Faith Hill. You can see the performances online at the www.starofthewest.tv website. Everyone that sang was really good, but I was the only pregnant one there :)

The top five will be announced next Saturday, July 28th online and they will get to finish out the competition before the Josh Gracin concert at the Sandy Amphitheater on August 29th. The winner will get to make a full length album (worth anywhere from $5,000-$25,000 in production costs), receive $1,000 cash and will get 300 copies of their CD. It really is a great opportunity and EVERY vote COUNTS!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Log on and VOTE! It is really simple.
Log on to:
www.starofthewest.tv
On the right of the page there is a place to create a Log in.
Create one, and they will email you a link to verify your email accunt.
Click on it and then you are ready to vote.
Go back to the star of the west website, and make sure you vote for Aimee Geddes from Salt Lake City!
(Don’t get confused and vote for the wrong Aimee.)

Thanks for all of your support. So far I have been in the lead but the gap is closing and I want to keep it big! Your vote could be the fly that tips the scales, so Please, vote as often as you can and let everyone you know about the contest. Tell them to vote too, and their family, friends, co-workers…. you get the idea:)

Thanks again and hopefully we’ll see you at the finals!

It’s getting closer and closer! July 12, 2007

Only 9 1/2 weeks until little Adelaide gets here (roughly). I guess we’ll see if she comes on time or not. I found some cute bedding for the crib and I found some material I want to make the crib skirt out of. It will be so adorable! She keeps kicking like crazy and is really active now!

Aaron is still working at the Mountain America in North Ogden and is looking to pick up some tile jobs on the side. I think he has more fun working with his hands than sitting behind a desk all day.

I have been working on getting ready for the “Star of the West” competition on July 21st in Heber City. (Everyone who wants to/can come is invited!) I am really excited and think it will be a great show. I feel like I have a good grip on my music now and am ready to go! I can’t wait to be the only 8 month pregnant woman on stage wailing out country tunes :)

My mom and sister Brooke are planning a baby shower for the 25th of July at my mom’s house. I am pretty excited for it. It will be fun to see old friends again and spend time with family from both sides.

Last week I went to the Jenny Phillips Song writing workshop and “how to break into the LDS music industry” workshop. Then I did the recording competition in hopes to be selected as the soloist for the young women’s 2008 album. It was a very eye opening experience and worth every penny. I am really glad I did it and hope I can get going with this music stuff!

Anyway, I guess I better sign off. I am getting tired and I am going to attempt to attach some pictures this time. We’ll see if they work!
